How you can support the Parkland Protestors

By now, you have more than likely heard about the tragic news regarding Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. This event, as well as the many young lives lost because of it, has many people, both young and old, wanting to offer their assistance.

If you have been watching the news, you would see that many students from Stoneman Douglas have been speaking out in favor of stricter gun control following this event. High school students such as Emma Gonzalez and David Hogg have courageously spoken out both on social media and established news platforms, demanding that action is taken regarding gun control laws in the United States.

Cameron Kasky, another victim of the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting, has created the #NEVERAGAIN movement, which asks all opposers to the current gun control laws to speak up, both online and in person, in order to make a change, because change needs to happen immediately.

If you’re interested in donating to any of the student’s and/or victims, you can reach the official GoFundMe page here.

If you’re interested in donating to the official march, which is set to take place in Washington DC on March 24, you can donate to the official GoFundMe page here.

If you are unable to donate, please use your voice to take a stand. Not only can you use your online platform to suggest a change, but you can also directly contact your state representatives if you happen to be a United States citizen. Here are a few directory links if you choose to contact any government officials:

Senate

House of Representatives

Supreme Court (allegedly does not use email)

If you know of any more opportunities to either aid victims of school shootings or speak out against current gun control laws in the United States, please let us know in the comments below.
